new explorer need some help

Now onto to the electrical grimlins. Like why the reverse washer fluid button sprays the front and vice verse but doesn't active wiper. Example I hit the button for front washer fluid and front wipers activate but the fluid stays out the back nossles.

It seems none of the unlock buttons work in the vehicle, only on the fob and keypad.

As far as the unlock buttons, most likely culprit is a ground wire in the door jamb. Tons of wires stuffed in a very tiny boot, hard to pinpoint a break.

Oh the washer button fix should be easy. Not a gremlin. There is one pump for both front and back. It has two hose nipples. One for front and one for back. The pump spins one way for front, and reverse for rear. Just swap the hoses and all good there :)

Appreciate the help I'll take a look at it today. As for the unlock buttons I have a suspicion it may be due to a clifford remote start that has wires hanging. I want to pull out the remote start since I don't have the fob anyway. I will also look for a loose ground though

So trans is shifting great so far but I started getting the rubbing/vibration/chatter sound again at low speed turns. I'm a little concerned it started up two days after solenoid block replacement.

On a side note I used the posi-trac friction modifier and cheap diff fluid. Should I swap out the fluid and put in the ford friction modifier? Is my rear end most likely going to need a rebuild? Would any of these symptoms be cause by the trans?

Are the hoses in question on the bottom of thr washer fluid reservoir? Simply drain reverse lines and refill or is there a seperate pump located somewhere else?

That should be all you have to do. No other pump that I am aware of

Thanks Joe. Now if I can just figure out the chattering issue without a full rebuild. Trans is still shifting perfect no codes thrown and no 2nd to 3rd flare. Shift points seem much improved and no harsh reverse engagement.

Well washer fluid lines were reversed just like you said Joe and the unlock issue was due to the aftermarket remote start. Today's task might be undoing/redoing the wiring so I can pull the remote start since I have no fob or anyway of telling if it actually works. Seems like the list never ends but at least I'm making progress

Guess I should start a new thread but trans is still running strong. Also insist all a 7" tablet instead of stock headunit. Thinking about making an 8" work. Pictures soon

Would the remote start have anything to do with thevreversevsensors. I removed the remote start and wired everything back up. The sensors never worked probably but now instead of periodically worlking the system just turns off. Guessing the sensor or sensors finally failed.

When the sensors fail the back up system shuts off.

Well another problem! Fortunately it only happens rarely as long as I don't have to get on the brakes hard. But if I do have to slam on the brakes something locks up and takes a second to get going. I'm hoping it's the parking break shoes as I know they do fall apart. Just looking for some other suggestions. I'm out of town working 7 days a week and rely on my explorer. I have no problem tearing the brakes apart, replaced the parking brake shoes on my 02, but at 70+hours a week it would be nice to pin point the problem before I tear her down. As always any help is appreciated.

I'd think sticking caliper. How much life left on the pads?

Quite a bit over half the life
