Well, after thinking it over, hemming and hawing, etc., I went ahead and purchased the truck mentioned in my last post.. needs some front end work, but seems to be in good shape otherwise. Its a 98 XLT, 4WD, 127k miles, exterior looks great (no dents, dings, scratches, etc.,) and interior is great (no stains or rips) and other than needing a set of shocks and probably ball joints, the only issue I found was the radio display is dead, already read about that here, and it's irrelevant, I'll replace it with a $100 cd player. Did the paperwork yesterday, got the title etc., just had to leave it there until saturday when someone can take me to pick it up, but on the plus side, they're going to detail it for me. I'm happy.. will be nice to have something other than my Corolla to drive (I HATE cars)
