Hello everybody!
I got my new front bumper last night! It is made from 1/4" diamondplate with reinforced plates and 2" tough tubes as the grille guard! There's a plate welded under the center portion to give a winch more strenght!

Pics:
This one shows the bracing.

That thing is awesome..nice looking bumper.

Like i said in our e-mail convo before! Sweet jesus that is nice. I am going to go talk to that guy!

that is sweet....... i think it looks too big though....

No such thing as "too big"!!!

I wanted something that would hold the winch solid, plus have the strenght to withstand the trails, Deer (lots of 'em around MN!!!) without falling apart like the westin and go-rhino ones do. THIS bumper will kill, slice, dice, and prepare the deer for ya!!!!!

It was made by Ron of Ron's Custom Shop. His web site is at: http://www.ronscustomshop.bigstep.com
He's the guy who sells the 8.8" Diff cover guards on e-bay.

Outstanding work, IMHO.

It has a 2" reciever hitch and my Reese tow bar brackets welded right to it!

You know what would looke really nice.....

Two 9.5" Lightforce lights right next to each headlight. :D

Damn nice bumper though. Time to learn to cook deer :)

Hey Jim that looks great. If you don't mind me asking, how much was it?

I was curious to how much it cost also. It looks very very nice. How long did it take him to fabricate it?

you should put a large spike in the front reciever :)

and slap a winch on it!

but looks kinda kool and beefy

If he puts on 9.5" lights then I bet they would cook it for him! Thats alot of light!

Jim the bumper looks great, would you mind giving us an idea of cost?

For all who are interested, the bumper cost $400.00 plus $26.00 MN sales tax, for a total of $426.00...

It was the first one of this type that he's made, so the price for one like it should be right around what I paid.

Tomkin and ARB one's cost a heck of a lot more, and they're not as beefy!

Jim

ps: It took him about 4-5 weeks, but it was not ongoing. A little bit here and there.

Geeze, what is that thing, 300lbs?

Looks tough, something off a Jeep Grand Cherokee 1971 style.

Weighs a little over 100 lbs.....

And YES, the rear tires still touch the ground!!!

Jim

geez, thats one helluva bumper! that thing'll give the sledge-o-matic a run for its money :)

100 pounds is pretty good for how beefy it is. I like it.

Thanks to all for the kind remarks!

Thanks, Tom, for fixing the URL!

Lee, If I put the 9.5" by the headlights, I'll be covering my turn signals (I think)....Maybe put some signals on the face of the bumper? What do you all think?

Jim

Ive been thinking about having a bumper made like that but I was also worried about the weight. Does anyone know what the stock bumper weight is?
