Interesting piece. Carpeted floor, but without Interior Upgrade Package.
That is quite an impressive ability you have to access the database that stores all this vehicle build/sales info. Quite a stretch from the days of diggin' out assembly line paperwork from under the seats of cars we owned or discovered during our wrecking yard scavenger hunts. This really sharpens my focus on what I need to do with this rig! Many thanks for your efforts !! ~Dave

He sent me mine as well. When I received the vehicle the rear doors and windows are all reenabled and the factory center council was reinstalled. Getting the SYNC and everything set up was a breeze. I took it out of silent mode so the map lights come on when the doors open, and I unlocked the rear hatch, and enabled keyless every through FORscan. I have a key fob being delivered Tuesday and hope to have it programmed at the dealership this week.

Totally awesome! I just ordered the latest OBDLink adapter to get FORScan setup. I might look for a civilian center console. My build sheet says "Front console mounting plate-delete" ...not sure what that means exactly. My console does not go all the way to the dashboard as the civilian version.

I look at Chicago Motors [chicagomotors.com] web site a lot, as they re-market many PIU from around the country and typically take 40-50 photos of each vehicle that is listed. They have anywhere from 20 - 40 PIU Ford vehicles for sale; plus GM and Chrysler police vehicles too. There's another place called Asia Motors in the Chicago area that had inventory of used police vehicles for sale.

Good visual input if you are doing mods to your rig. Was surprised at the many variations and treatments these rigs get. I spent 15 years rebuilding the 89-95 Thunderbird SuperCoupes, so Ford cars & trucks are in my blood. I'm surprised they didn't use the F150 Lightning powertrain in the Interceptors. The Setina brush guard must have been added after delivery, unless it was in 'code' on the build sheet. Also I like the fact that this build has the PI badge deleted on the rear, but has the INTERCEPTOR lettering across the edge of the hood. Also they added an aluminum weapon tray over the spare tire area. Replaces the plastic ABS cover in the third row seat area.

I bought mine from Asia Motors. They delivered it to the UP for me last week.

Hey all, new here. Just purchased a 2017 FPIU base. Any and all suggestions for upgrades are welcome. What things am I going to have to do to make it more "family friendly" I.E. unlocking doors/windows... I have a key fob on order, and have FORScan and a spreadsheet ready.

I plan on enabling keyless entry, and eventually will be installing a remote start (12voltsolutions), because it's cold as balls up here. I also plan on taking care of the rear hatch auto lock feature. Vehicle wont arrive until the middle of next week, so I'm trying to get a list of things to do so I can try to knock them all out at once.

Things I'm unsure of on these vehicles:
Are the rear doors only controlled by the front door lock buttons?
Do the 2017 Base models come with SYNC? (This one has a 4.2" screen and a rear camera)

Any and all feedback is appreciated. Thanks
I have the exact vehicle that I just bought right after Christmas and it was delivered the first or second week of Jan. I have been doing all kinds of things to the vehicle and find it quite fun to work on. However, it is really easy to get frustrated when you don't have the schematics. I purchased an electrical book just for this and it has helped. Whenever you think about jumping into a project ask & I'll let you know if I have tackled it so far. You can contact me at dennis@mia.net .I am more than happy to help anyone!

I see now that it's probably as simple as adjusting the child locks on civilian models to get the inside handles to work.
Nope! I have the same configuration as you do (From Pennsylvanian State police) and I need to take the door panel off to reattach them then put the button on. The buttons were from E-Bay I believe and not expensive at all.
