Maybe got a bad wheel bearing.

I'm thinking wheel bearing.

So we just picked it up and the popping noise was fixed with a tsb that involved installing thrust washers on both front axles.
As for the wobble/shake on acceleration well they said they could not duplicate it. It took me about 3 stop lights and YES ITS STILL THERE. I will also be going back tomorrow to meet with the service manager to take care of the big ass door ding that just so happened to show up after we dropped it off. Needless to say im not real happy.

After a while, it won't bother you so much.....

Maybe not, BUT its not right or normal there for Ford needs to fix this problem. Probably the same problem they have with the 14 4wd drive explorers and why they stopped shipment of said 4wd explorers due to driveline vibrations.

My offer to assist still stands, Mxracer532; just send me the info I listed above in a PM and I'll see what I can do to help.

Popping noise on turns at slow speed

New guy here, just traded in our murano for a 2012 Limited Explorer with 24k and got some issues already. Will post in diff area also but upon take off it has a really weird wobble/shake that goes through the drive train that goes away after about 20mph. Also had loud pop/bang while making right hand turn and accelerating. I hope this wasnt a 35k mistake buying this rig.

I had the same problem 2011 explorer limited. The dealer found that the motor mounts were not torqued properly. That was 30k miles ago and has not happened since.

Was that for the popping noise or the wobble/shake on acceleration?

Alittle update, took the explorer back in for the 3rd time after talking with the regional customer service manager. The dealorships customer service manager and I went and drove the explorer and he felt the wobble/vibration multiple times and so he contacted ford hotline again and supposedly a engineer he knew at ford to try and kinda backdoor this issue and get it fixed. Friday came and I needed the vehicle to go out of town and picked it up Friday with no bew news or hope of getting it fixed. Monday the regional service manager called and left me a message. When I called him back he informed me that there is (NO FIX) @ this time and that it is normal characteristic of this vehicle. I then asked why I can drive several other that DO NOT DO THIS and response was I dont know but Ford says there is no fix and its normal. SO NOT HAPPY AND WISH I WOULD HAVE STAYED WITH TOYOTA!!!!
