hello this is my first thread so here we go. If it helps any one I just rebuilt my tranny in my first gen, and found out you can use a filter out of a 99. It has longer pick up tube (it will fit in your stock pan) and a better screen. You do have to use the stock gasket for the first gen. Now with your new filter you can get your truck at more of an angle with out running your front pump dry.
