I just got installed a new h.i.d. kit... it looks nice and the install was simple (the hardest part was to find a good place for the ballasts)... but I noticed that the headlight case gets too hot; at least I don't remember getting it that hot with halogens... also, there is a little buzzzz homing noice when they are on...

the vendor sent a cable that looks to have a 20amp fuse and a relay... but the instructions said that that is only needed for 9007 (lo/hi on the same bulb) - I use 9006 lo only-... it this cable/fuse/relay the key to prevent overheating? or is this normal with these kits? or does the case gets hot and I just never paid attention to it?

(I'll wait till it's dark to take some pics and post them..)

Was thinking about purchasing a hid but I wasn't sure as to how they look
did you get 8000k or what? how long have you had them? what is visibility as compared to stok?:us:

I have HID low's and fogs... 6500k

They're -awesome- !

I got the 6000k for my lows... they are blue... i think they kinda look like lincoln aviatiors' lights... visibility is a bit better than stock, and they are way brighter... I have silverstars for my highs and they get lost next to my lows...
I'm overall pleased.

I took some pics last night, but they don't reflect how the light really look... I'll post them anyway in a while

Mine get warm as well. And the buzzing is normal. Going on a year with them with no problems.

hey quick question, we have 9006 lo's and fogs right? cause autozone said that the lows are 9003's and fogs werent listed.

well autozone is full of **** cuz a 9003 has a completely different socket to connect it to the bulb... its a 9006 low and 9005 high TRUSt me.. and the fogs arent 9006.. theyre 9145... they have the same shape but work a little differently

so what is the diff between 9145 and 9006 for the fogs. which hids should i get for the bottom the 9006 or 9145?
