New here and have questions

I just bought a 2000 Mountaineer V8 and I am looking into adding a few performance parts to it such as CAI, Exhaust, Chip ect. Can someone point me in the right direction to find these parts my internet searches are not being very helpfull.

there isnt a lot of places that sell performance parts anymore for the 2nd gen trucks. for your cai, and "chip" (btw, if someone tries selling you a chip, they dont exist, they are just after you money) henson performance sells both a mac cai, and programer http://www.hensonperformance.com/Productsft.html. he has tuned several trucks on the forum here. for your exhaust, there is a group buy going on right now for torque monster headers http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=376208&highlight=torque+monster, but be prepared to wait a bit for them (this is also the only place that makes headers for the v8 trucks). you can also get (i think) a cat back system from most popular mail order parts places like summit, or jegs. also, if you do have some mechanical skills, you can also swap your awd transfer case for a bw4406 which will allow you to use 2 and 4 hi and 4 low, and some people also say you gain around 2 mpg in fuel. http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=166726
