I will keep tabs on this thread to see if anyone who's done the mods I've listed can provide any numbers and or data. It's only a matter of time until I find the truck with the mileage/options I want. Then comes the modifications.

Darn. It's kind of sad how many people don't know/don't want to drive a manual. I personally love it.

Yea I agree, at least for emergencies you should know and be comfortable with it. I did teach my wife how to drive a stick on my SVT Focus but in traffic she gets too much anxiety and panics. So she could at least operate it if she had to.

Well, she probably knows it better than most people.

Definitely report back if you get the truck and then mod it! I've been wanting to do the same mods to mine, but it's a lot of money for me!
