- 2001 X Sport 2wd
Hi everyone,
I have to admit I've been lurking here for a couple of years. It's time I try to contribute. I have a 2001 2wd sport and 2003 xlt 4wd explorer. I know them both well and do all my own work on them. The sport I bought brand new in 2001 it now has 175k trouble free miles (first and last new vehicle). The 2003 I've had 2 years now and it had 100k miles when we purchased it (now it has 154k with 4 new wheel bearings and a transmission filter due to flashing O/D light(filter/fluid change fixed it)). The reason I joined is because the other day I bought a set of 15" tear drop rims for the sport (factory 16's) that didn't fit. I have a set of new 30x9.50x15 wild country xrt tires that were itching to go on something. So today I ordered a set of 1.5" hubcentric spacers from eBay. Just wanted to get the word ou that 15" tear drops will rub the crap out of your calipers on a 2001 sport. Lol.
Thanks for all the help over the years on wheel bearing, trans filters, a/c pressures, etc. Hopefully I can be a contributing member of society.
