NEW MAF adapter on the market

regarding the voltage change and stuff, your right and thats why the piece i got is a kit that centers the sensor and has reducers in stock sizes to account for the change.

Did you measure the reducers to see that they are the same size as stock?

Warren, even if the diameter is off by a little bit it will not affect the MAS transfer function as much as you may think.

On a side note, I still do not reccommend anyone do the mod like I described in the previous page without knowing what they are doing.---> Just take a few meaurements with the slot-in MAS meter in the stocker tube and then transfer those depth and diameter measurements over to the new adapter piece and everything will be fine as long as your pretty close. Definately doesn't come down to the millimeter or anything that precise. ;)

before I bought the kkm, I made a maf housing out of 3.5 exhasut pipe and attached a flange, neadless to say it was off. I had idle issues as well as it ran lean on top. once you got it moving quick enough it pulled well but it had serious surge issues.

The problems that you ran into are the reason why the housing adapter needs to be approached in the proper manner.

x2 and thats what I was trying to get at. buying a kkm, or going the cheap rout cutting down a stock air box lid seem to be the best methods.

It depends on what you want out of things. That will determine which method will best suit an individual.
