hey all, ill keep it short. got a stock 94 explorer sport 5 speed 2wd... iwanna throw some 33s or 35s on it with lockrite lockers, 4.88 maybe. im an amateur and only hitting moderate trails and mud, no rock crawling (obviously).. what gearing would yall recommend for a 2wd 5 speed?

Welcome to this forum! That gear ratio is good for towing. Do you want more speed or pulling power? A 3.73 is an in between ratio. What do you have now?

4.1 is highest gear ratio from factory.

It should be enough for you. The higher the ratio, the more you burn, the more you have to flour it on the highway.
