looking to get a lift kit for my 94 ranger xlt extended cab, 2wd. not looking to rock crawl or get stuck in the mud, just gonna have fun in the desert and some local 4wheeler trails. i am currently looking at the superlift superrunner 5" front and 3.5" rear lift kit (sup-k671). seems the most complete, and it will get me off the ground and be able to run 32's. i have heard good things about skyjacker coils, but i am not sure if it is worth the trouble patching a kit together when i can just get a complete kit. any help would be greatly appreciated.

for 2wd skip Skyjacker or Superlift or any drop bracket kits

You want a beamed front end setup with custom beams

Check out Camburg.com, Giant Motorsports, and a few other So Cal desert style suspension builders

research here:

dezertrangers.com

well worth the $$$ IMO

drop brackets only lift you up like a body lift

custom beams and radius arms is where its at

welcome to this site and remember the search button is your friend...:D

just an update, so yeah, i ended up going in a completely different direction than the skyjacker kit....... just got new parts:

threat motorsports bent, plated, and extended 5.5" beams.
threat motorsports heimed radius arms w/ pivot boxes.
threat motorsports tranny x-member
threat motorsports steering extenders
king 12"x2.5" C/O w/resi
6 33" tires on 15's

just need leafs and rear shocks now, and alot of tubing......

...ouch, sounds like you spent some pennies...pics and details please...btw, i spent some time up in shingletown many years ago....:D

just in case some one ever reads this thread again, my ranger burned in the SD fires. i have an S10 now. sold the ranger stuff.

...i'm sorry to hear this...:(

yeah, wife took it off insurance while i was in Iraq to save some money and stored it in fallbrook at her aunts house. since it wasn't in the aunts name home owners insurance didn't cover it. total loss. now i have an S10 with 21" long lower a-arms and burly upper j-arms with king coilovers and fox bumps, in the rear i have deavers with long shackles and king bypasses with fox bumps on the way. got a 4.3L auto with a ford 9" sittin on 33"s......added to the shock hoop today and turned it into a bedcage. still working on it.
