- 2013 Explorer Limited
Hi All,
This forum has already saved me a lot of time and some money over the past few weeks and I appreciate it.
I had purchased a "Certified" 2013 Ford Explorer Limited about 6 months ago and also purchased the extended Ford warranty. In that time there has been MANY things go wrong for a "certified" vehicle. We love the vehicle, but need advice on how to handle these things. The dealership has been somewhat responsive, but in now way are they offering to cover everything.
1. one month after purchasing the A pillar trim came off at high speeds
2. one month after the fuel vapor sensor failed and needed to be replaced.
3. five months after the rear brakes were down to 0 and scraping metal so more than the rotors and pads needed to be replaced.
4. it was discovered during the brake replacement that the rear shocks had blown out and leaking inside the housing.
5. six months after the Collision Warning sensor is failing so the constant "Collision Warning is unavailable" alert is displayed intermittently.
6. six months after purchase the rear camera has stopped working and says it is unavailable.
7. During one of these visits it was said that the front passenger quarter panel is out of alignment and there is possible collision damage from a previous owner.
I updated the Sync software successfully, but unfortunately it did not fix the collision or rear camera.
At what point do can we claim the lemon law if possible? Should we get a lawyer?
Thanks for the advice.
