Seen this site from a post on Ford-Trucks.com and google so figured why not join . The X is a dd/tow vehicle and have a question about the air box on this truck . So far the searches have come up empty , no matter how the ? is written . The ? - is the meter flanged with 4 bolts or molded to the plastic housing , ? . The air box is cracked big time ( thought I fixed it ) and would like to just change to a cold air setup . I just don't want to rip it apart - wouldn't take much .
Anyone know what size the MAF is on these .

Great site / lots of info :us: Thanks , Rich

Welcome to the site and especially the "5.0 Clique". Lots of great info on the site as it's been in existence for a long time. There are two great search tools on the site. If you have a question, chances are it's been asked a lot of times.

The best air intake for the money for the V8 is made by MAC. They're getting harder and harder to find, but they're out there. Don't be wary of getting one second hand either. They don't really wear out and the filters can be cleaned. Sorry, I don't know the MAF dimensions off hand.

Enjoy!

Welcome to the site.

Welcome to this forum! I saw MAF adapters in Pep Boys, and Autozone. Compare your flange to the one in the store. Could you take a picture of the damage? You might be able to epoxy or plastic weld it. I have a spare air box from a 93 5.0L Grand Marquis, but I don't know if it's the same.
