- 04 Explorer XLT
Just joined up, looks like a great forum . At this point I have been browsing around and have already found lots of information .
I have just bought an 04 explorer XLT. It is a base unit with the V6. We are the third owner, both other owners had it maintained at a local Ford dealer, only 70 k miles and excellent records. Seems like a very good running truck. I will admit concern about the timing chain issues, but seems like that is not an issue after '02.
This is my first Ford anything since an old 89 Ranger several years ago. Looking forward to keeping this one running for several years.
