Hi i am 23 years old my name is Troy and am a proud owner of a 92 xplorer XLT it has a 4.0 liter with an A4LD tranny.... im kinda new to the ford world so looked online for some help and found you guys .......well my current prob is that i have reverse and no forward gears ive just ordered a rebuild kit and am in need of a clutch spring compressor anyone have any ideas where to order specialty tools?

thanx for the posts back guys i found the tool i was in need of and also Glaciers rebuild .......well u could say that i was scared away from doing this rebuild lol so am just goin to order a new one here in the near future.

Which part are you afraid of doing, the valve body, or the entire transmission? Many people have come to this site looking for information, and have done rebuilds from the information posted here. You might be sucessful, but without trying you will never know. If you get stuck at one point, you could post your question, and somebody will try to answer it the best way they could. Pictures are always helpful. You will be surprised at some of the stuff people have posted over the years.
