Just joined. I have a 2014 Explorer, bought new, that has been reasonably reliable (except the backup camera! but that's for another day) with about 125k miles on it now. I do most maintenance & repairs myself and in addition to this Ford, I also have an MGB (little British convertible from the 60's/70's) that I put a Ford 302 (aka 5.0L) into. I'm blessed enough to have a fairly well equipped shop (including a 2-post lift that I picked up used on Craigslist -- makes many jobs SO much easier :) ).

I'll post in the under the hood section for my current project but happy to have found this forum. Hope to contribute in addition to getting some information.

Welcome! Our family loves British roadster too! We have a Sunbeam Tiger MK2 swapped with a 302.

Welcome.

Tiger's are cool cars. My MG is pretty heavily modified. In addition to the Ford 302, I have an independent rear that uses a Nissan differential & Chevy hubs & brakes and I have parts from a bunch of brands (Volvo, Chrysler, Toyota, Dodge, Miata, Mazda, ...). I used to have tags that read "MG MUTT" :D!

Here's are a couple of pictures.

Welcome to this forum! Post a picture of your shop with the lift.
This isn't a great picture of the shop, but it shows the lift. The car is one my son & I are doing for him (it also has a Ford 302 in it). The lift is a 10k Challenger lift that I bought off Craigslist. It was only $1k but we had to take it down from where it was installed. Funny story, when we got to the seller's house, the lift was in a concrete floored pole barn. I saw several gold colored mannequins and they looked familiar so I asked the guy about them... Turned out, they were his props when he was doing a pitch on "Shark Tank." He ended up getting a deal with Daymond John for his "Line Cutters" product & the business was doing well enough that he bought the house & barn to use the barn as his warehouse so he wanted the lift gone. We about killed ourselves getting it down (they're very heavy) but we did it & it's been awesome having it! Makes work so much easier!

That looks amazing! Yah we love our MK2, though the 86 IN. wheelbase and the power of the 302 can get a little scary. We used to have two, but sold #10 off, and we still own #542 (left of photos).
