Well, it looks as if I have come to the right place! What a great site!

I just recently took ownership of my parents' all original Twilight Blue 1991 Explorer Eddie Bauer 4X4. Purchased from the original owner, this car has been in my family since 1993. Fast foward 15 years and 160,000 miles later and, with the exception of the all too common failure of the original paint, the Explorer has held up rather well. Fortunately, the list of needed repairs is quite short, so I will have more time and money to devote to minor upgrades, personalization and detailing.

In many ways, this Explorer has a certain sentimental value to me. I spent much of my childhood in this car and have many fond memories related to it. I want to give it the TLC it deserves, because I enjoy having it around and because I feel that the Ford Explorer is a great SUV with endless possibilities.

I am looking forward to interacting with all of you as I work on my Explorer.

Sincerely,
Christopher

welcome chris where in northern cali u at i got some family in northern cali. My parents live in san jose but i am located in southern cali in newport beach.

Hey Sam - I am up in the foothills about 40 minutes east of Sacramento - Auburn. It's funny that you live in So-Cal and have family in Nor-Cal because it is the exact opposite for me. I am currently living in Nor-Cal and have family down in So-Cal in Santa Barbara. It's more than likely that I will be moving down there myself in the next year.

yeah i love it in so cali buts its expensive where i stay at in newport beach.
