Hello everyone. My name is Damone, but you can call me D. In two years, I've rebuilt the whole fuel, electrical, air, exhaust, and oil system, valve body, FM 40 series muffler and aftermarket mods for a 91 Explorer EB, 4.0L V6, MFI, OHV that I purchased for $150, thanks to all the knowledge provided by the "Tranny gurus", veterans, moderators, elite and longtime members in this Ford Explorer Forum. It drives and runs like it's fresh off the showroom floor in 90-91, along with a boost in HP and max speed of 116mph lol. I have really grown to love and appreciate this group, and have realized that everyone new and old in this group all have one common theme....love for the Ford Explorer, no matter what year. I've never done this before, but as a token of my appreciation, I am joining this group and looking forward to helping anyone who has questions about their model Explorer. Again, hello and I'm very glad to be a member of this group.

welcome to the forum.

Any helped that can be gleaned from a student of the school of hard knocks is always appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm sure I speak for the others when I ask if we can see some pictures of your Explorer.

Sorry guys. I've been working and this is the first day the weather has been decent here in Michigan. Here's the pics, excuse the dirtiness, haven't washed Sandy because of the weather.

D welcome to the forum. Nice looking Explorer.

Thanks bro. She was ready to go to the graveyard, smoked bad and wouldn't go over 55 when I first got her, but I wanted an X for over 15 years, I love the motor and trans on ALL the models, so I dived head first into her, along with help from this forum, and got it done. Only thing I didn't do was the water pump and fan, had a shop do that. I don't have the tool in my collection to remove the fan blade. Do u know where I can purchase one online??? And my next project will be a turbocharged Ranger. Anyone able to teach me the knowledge on adding that to the 2.3???

Thanks Mike. Checking it out now....Actually....Purchased lol. Another tool to add to the Explorer tool collection. Preciate it :)

I went ahead and ordered a fan tool online bro.

Which one did you get? There are a few on the market by different manufacturers.
The one that Mike shared I'm the link above, the 2 PC silver set for the fan bolts and blade. I tried using a set from Autozone about a year ago that was different from the one Mike mentioned and had issues.
