Greetings from E. OR! I bought a '92 XLT a few weeks back. The previous owner kept real good maintenance records and had a list of repairs. This vehicle only has 113k miles! They dropped a new engine and clutch in with 77k. It is the bright blue color 4 door, 4x4 with a manual trans, which I love!! It runs strong and shifts smoothly.
We removed and washed all carpeting. We took the seat covers off and removed cushions which we washed. The whole interior has also been scrubbed clean. I also added my 10" sub, amp and stereo which made a great difference in the stereo sound.
So far I have added the front coil spacers and an add a leaf to the rear. At the same time I installed Skyjacker shocks to all 4 corners. By making those changes, the ride has stiffened up and feels much better than the day I bought it.
I am planning on fabricating a roof basket out of some galvanized piping I have. Plus, I will eventually change the stock tires to 31's. I am excited and can't wait to get the work done as planned.
