I just bought a '95 Explorer that has been sitting for two years. I was told everything worked when parked, but now the power windows don't work at all with any switches, the a/c doesn't work, and the instrument lights don't work. The door locks work, the radio display light works and will dim or brighten with the dash light dimmer. The power mirrors work. After hours of hunting I finally found the relay box under the dash and replaced both relays indicated in the owners manual as having to do with the windows and still no windows. I have tried moving the harness from body to door while working the switches checking for a possible broke wire but nothing. I feel there must be a link between all three things not working right but I can't find it. When I first started driving it about a month ago some things didn't work right all the time but the more I drove it the better they worked. One thing was the turn signal switch, and the other was the oil pressure guage.

you my want to check the master switch in the drive door make sure it is sending out power to the other doors. sometimes those will cause the windows to be inop. also from my experience just go buy a new turn signal switch and see how it does the spring in them often go bad or the plastic will break from turning it off manual. also ford head light switches where never the best you better get one as well.
good luck

welcome
