hey everyone new member here, ive just come across a 91 explorer that was sitting in a garage and hasnt run in about 7 years.. i was told it was a great runner when parked but was taken off the road due too broken springs in the front and leaking trans lines... anyway

i have proceeded too try too get the truck running i have pepaced the fuel pump assembly with a new one, new filter, and that corrected the fuel too the motor problem, now i have 40lbs at the rail, the truck still wont run im getting spark if i hit it with starting fluid it will fire and run for a second or two.... injectors i checked with the noid light and they are pulseing what do you all think i should try next? should i suspect the injectors are clogged?

i have pulled a spark plug and it was not wet with fuel at all and other seggestions? id like too hear this thing run soon so i can move on too repairing the rest of it, body is amazingly solid

old fuel sitting in the fuel rail could cause the injectors to stick it could be the injector but i dont think all of them would stick.
You can do a injector balance test this is were you supply 12v to the injectors manually one at a time for less than a second and you look at your fuel pressere gage if it goes down injectors are not stuck you do this test in KOEO each injector should drop a couple of lbs depending on how long you hold power to the injectors do not leave power to the injectors to long it will burn it up no more than 2 seconds max and thats pushing it

Welcome to this forum! Check the fuel pressure regulator.

If the fuel pressure regulator is bad I wouldn't think that I would read 40 at the rail but I could be wrong? Would like too avoid pulling the injectors if I don't have to. Thanks for the help so far
