Now that would be totally insane! Thats stupid (good type of stupid) insane!!! A DOHC bored out 5.4 with big turbos on it would make well over 1300+rwhp given the proper supporting mods. If you did that I would have to turn gay and marry your ass just because I would want to drive it sooooo bad.... hehe.

the funny thing is if you or I had the cash... it would be a no brainer. A lot of people that told me I was stupid for taking this project on are now just eating their words. And when we line up they will go home with their tail between their legs. And to think we are not even half way there.

People need to be scared of those of us that build musclecars out of non-musclecar vehicles. Any idiot can bolt on pre R&D'ed mods for a musclecar and make good power but it takes a real builder/visionary to create something from scratch with ZERO aftermarket.
After doing all this R&D on my own I find it total childs play to mod an actual musclecar that has an aftermarket. You mean I DON'T have to fab all my own parts? You mean they DO make a kit for this car? hehehehe. What? You say you tuned this setup before?

Yeah imagine just buying a bolt on that fits like a glove!!!
Crap I even had to buy a Ranger pilor guage pod and had it custom filled with fiber glass to mold it to the X, 1 off. And my center dash pod is for a WRX... lol
Ill show you the new 1 off cluster pod I made that fits three guages right behind the ash tray. Ill try and get a pic tomorrow.
In a custom app yeah. Longtubes will probably be one of the last mods I do though, as there are other mods that will net me much more power than they can and cost a lot less too.

Did some data logging and waiting for my file from SCT. Adding more timing.
Damb she runs great. Much stronger with the new pully and maf. But I can now finally see this m90 loosing its breath on top... not seeing 9psi thats for sure... this motor flows so much better... with my 6psi pully I never saw more than about 4.5#'s. Now she charges to about 7.5#'s and at the high rpm range boost starts to drop... holds a steady 6.5-7.0psi up top, but you dont feel it drop. Next where changing the rev limiter to about 6,300, now at 5,800. Still pulling like a train at 5,800.
I have been thinking about finding me a 3rd gen to go fast in... there is a wrecked '03 Navigator in a junkyard near me with the DOHC 5.4. I would love to slap that baby in with a few tweaks. I know it will fit because there was one with this combo at Showfest last year.

It will totally fit. The block is just a little taller. Same size pistons. The Aviator has the DOHC 4.6
Dont know if the tranny will line up. Im not sure if the new cobras with the 5.4's have the same tranny. But once you dive into a project like this you find solutions.
Hook it up!!! We need some more players for 3rd Gens. Right Rocket?
As far as all the hipe about these drive trains not holding up... I can tell you that my is solid still and I for sure am pushing over 400rwhp. I have to guess about 430. Believe me I dont baby this ride for a sec either. I broke-it in like I stole her. Ive done some hard pulls from the bottom. I even have a stock tranfer case still.
My next mods are: (in this order) Granitteli COPs, Snow Performance Meth/Water spray, 4:10's... then the drive train, then the cherry... much much more boost.
I JUST drove 3,200 miles from Cancun to Cali... 5 days of straight driving. Im putting on some mods I already have and im taking it to JBA racing for the dyno. I should have some numbers very soon. I want to go start making some noise at the local tracks also. If anyone one can recommend when and where to go shoot me a line.
