New owner of an Explorer project!

Hey there everyone! I just recently got my 1996 Ford Explorer for free, from my father-in-law. There’s a few things wrong with it, but I’m hoping to fix it up and learn a few things along the way!

96's are built like TANKS one of my fav years of the exploder
93, 96, and 01 are my favs

In 1996 the 4 door explorer came with a few options, 4.0 ohv v6 or 5.0 ohv v8
the v6 trucks could be 5 speed or auto, whereas all 5.0 trucks are auto
The v6 trucks could be 4x4, RWD or control trac AWD
the v8 trucks were RWD and full time AWD

What engine and trans do you have? RWD or 4wd?

It’s got the 4.0 V6, and I wish it were AWD! Ah well, it’s still great to have!
