Im seeing things where its not a simple swap, when pulling the OEM radio out of these..

Mine has buttons that just dont work anymore, and I want a better stereo. How difficult is this and how much extra may it cost? Is this something that Id be better off just taking it to an audio place and letting them do it?

If you have the correct harness, it isn't a big deal. Making sure you have the right harness is critical for a plug and play scenario- as easy as splicing the harness wires to the new deck wiring pigtail and plugging it in. Check out Crutchfield, they'll quiz you to get the right one to you... Depends on which stereo system you have.

Im not sure which I have! Will my book say? Ill have to check tomorrow. And Ill check that place out. I have done the splicing thing before, when the end on the wires didnt match up, so thats not a biggie, but I was reading talk about some amp and how if its not done with a certain adapter or whatever, it wont work...

Man these trucks can be picky!
