New style of Altezza's for 98-01

I'm gonna try a combination of clear tails with Vtech slotted taillight covers painted to match, I have a feeling that 95-97 Altezzas just aren't going to happen. :(

How do you mean "interfere with your lights? I've seen them on many trucks, painted to match and they looked nice. They really don't interfere with the tailights at all-you just peel off the adhesive and stick them on (I had mine painted though-they come in flat black).

I think he means the colors would clash.

I just mean that the color of my truck doesnt really match the orange and red of the tails. I just havnt figured out what I want to do with them yet.

yeah, i dont know why they put the ugly orange turn signals on the tails. you could always get clears and use red glass paint to make your tail lights look better.

I like my orange blinkers!! :p They match my visor and sidemarkers, lol (can't tell I've gotten I one too many accidents that could've been avoided by the use of a blinker, can ya? :D )

I've looked into that whole red stained glass paint, but it makes me wonder how long that stuff holds up.. wont it fade?

I've had this idea to take my factory lenses and paint the black trim (being a 95-97 style) white to match my car.. and tinting that orange red with that stained glass stuff.... but I dont know how feasible this is, and if I messed up.. it'd cost me a lot to buy new taillight lenses ($180 each I think)

Darkfox, that sounds like a good idea to me. As long as you get paint that is high heat it will last. Oh, and as for the taillights being $180 each, only a fool would buy them from Ford. $40 apiece on eBay.

ya think thats feasbile? my painting skills kinda.. suck.. not to mention the paint over the black would hafta match perfectly. Where can I look at this tinted glass paint? and do they really make a high temp version? I have clears now and I like them, but well, a lot of people fly up on me and then look at me angrily from my rearview, and/or pull up beside me and tell me I have no brake lights.. so I guess I should at least look into it

eBay addict, I like it! I think they would look pretty good, the only thing I don't like is the emblem in the corner that you can't do anything about.

Im not really a big fan of the old style.... These ones dont float my boat either..... Now maybe if they just made some clear tails for us 2k1 sporters I would be alittle more happy.

For all of you wondering what the painted tails would look like here are mine, I bought clear tails and painted them used testors model paint, its transparent candy apple red. I've gottan many compliments and I did it 5 months ago and it hasnt faded or flaked in the slightest bit.

mofodela - looks good.

Apparently, Altezzas for 95-97's are supposed to be out in two months, but I'll be calling later on today for a confirmation.

NICE!! good work man!

Ok, these new altezzas are starting to show up on eBay. But they're going VERY fast, somebody already did the "Buy It Now" on the first auction for these tails. Sold for $132, not bad!

I'd like to see some actually on a truck, its hard to get a good look at these as standalones.
