New Subs what to buy???

alright im doing some research on subwofers... its not for my truck this time though..... u all know how much i brag bout my JBL's...
my friend its selling me his 93 altima..... and im getting ready to buy it, im doing this because of gas prices hitting almost 3 dollars per galon...im gonna have to stop using my X as my daily driver and im only gonna use to go out with my girl and friends on weekends...
now since i work at best buy and get some discount i dont have a lot to chose from but i have looked at a couple of somewhat decent speakers what do u guys think?

Since im used to VERY hard hitting bass im thinking of putting 3 or 4 of this subs.
I have also been looking at the Amps that besb buy carries and they seem to have low RMS ratings... give me some ideas on a good amp to get if not i will be going with another of the outstanding JBL's Amps

while I agree the best buy discount is nice...by the time you pay for three or four of those subs and amps to power them all you could have bought two 12's from RE and spent a whole lot less...ill put my next paycheck on the fact that two 12" SE's will get louder than four of those punch subs, four of those alpines or your two JBhells.

while I agree the best buy discount is nice...by the time you pay for three or four of those subs and amps to power them all you could have bought two 12's from RE and spent a whole lot less...ill put my next paycheck on the fact that two 12" SE's will get louder than four of those punch subs, four of those alpines or your two JBhells.

...but out of those two, I would get any Alpine vs any RF (the new Punch (all of them) look weird).

well if ur not a fan of JBL its because u havent heard them, and if u heard JBL u probably heard the low end JBLs, my JBLs are better than the top MTX's, better than the top Rockfordsand and the Top Alpines.... this speakers are 350 bucks a piece.... lol Not a lot of people (use/know) bout JBL's subs because they are hard to get but once u get hooked to them there is no going back... i had a friend that worked at a huge store down in miami that sold nothing but car audio and video systems, they held HUGE events of the best sounds systems and JBL always got first place I also did some testing myself because I wasn’t a big believer of JBL either so I went and tryed every single 12 that they had in the store and the best subs they had were the JBL's not to mention the most expensive, I got sick of pushing sorry ass speakers that bottomed out if u turned it up a bit to loud with my current bass setup I cant even have up all the way because it hurts my ears so bad, also this speakers need some serious power and like to be driven hard they will take any wattage u can through at them..... I just though that going with JBL was the way to go since they were the ones that shook the earth at Woodstock and many, MANY other HUGE events

LOL...you assuming that I have never heard or owned JBL is ludacris...if this were 1995 then yes JBL would be the top of the line brand. its 2005 ten years later I can get 2 12's that will not only make your ears hurt they will make you unable to swallow your own spit, with the windows down. and the two 12's would only cost you about $300 for both

My new system should be finsihed sometime in late january...if your in Orlando anytime after that let me know...you can stop by and ill get a termlab for us to play with. or maybe ill see you at SPring Break Nationals

the rockfords P3's reall pound........i have a friend with two of them in his maxima and they set off car alarms and really pound - he also worked @ bestbuy and had that discount.......easy though with the amps....he went through about 4 amps and 3 sets of speakers......make sure you match it up right

well, i didn't say that about the RE's i was refering to the negative comment about them relative to his jbls.

HOWEVER- funny how i just ordered another 9515 for a family member... we have installs i've done around here with everythign from x.. to solox and people keep ordering the 9500s after they hear them all...

dude- can we suffice to say that dave rivera's (the fishman's) beetle which runs jbl is probably better than your truck? its a pretty sweet install...

anybody who was at world of wheels in miluakee can attest to my subs and system destroying that car there

I just looked at your car domain as well and noticed your "install" clean up those wires...I still am almost certain that a pair of SE's or SX's with the right power would put you to shame

I ordered 2 MTX 9500's (9512-44) too......after hearing them compared to the RE's, RF's, Memphis.....and yes....JBL.....

I haven't installed them yet.....but soon....VERY SOON....

I also have 2 of their 81001 amps to drive them.....it shoudl be loud! I may even be able to compete with that awesome install of those 2 JBL's....lol

yeah, those who hear the 9500s often change their minds at least a little bit about mtx. i'm not saying they are the greatest thing ever, just that you have to spend a lot more to really be significantly better.

yeah bro ur right my system has a long way to go.... im not even half way done, im sorry im such an ass thinking my **** its better than every1 elses..... and yes those 9500 MTX's are awesome i would love to find out more about the RE's as well
