New Tail Lights and Painted Wheels

Nice, I thought about doing that to my rims.
Man, are those P235's? They look small.
Either way, you definitely have a nice ride. I love the look of your tails.
If and when you go to 31's, you'll wonder why you went for so long without..

Thanks man, I appreciate it. It's not too hard to paint em, you just gotta take your time, put on a good amount of coats, and make sure you give it plenty of drying time. Yeah, they're 235's. Haha I know, they do look pretty small. I was looking into getting 31s eventually, but I don't wanna break the bank. This site, http://treadwright.com/ has retreads of mud and a/t tires. They seem legit and another member on here talked about them. You hear much about retreads, if they're good or not? They just have such a great deal, only like 55 a tire for 31s. Does ur ex ride better with the 31s? And have you ever felt like its more tippy when ur goin highway speeds (i.e. 65-80mph)?

Mine feels fine at highway speeds, and the ride is better. I don't notice any tippy feelings.

What kind of paint did you use on those bad boys? Im very interested in doing something like that. Would black engine paint work? My buddy used some light blue engine paint on his calipers, would something like that work? you oughta make a write-up for it

I used wheel paint found at pep boys (Duplicolor High Performance Wheel Coating). Its specifically meant for wheels, and is apparently chip resistant. (Mine have chipped a little bit, but not anything terrible). If you're going to paint your wheels, I highly recommend that you clean them first with a de-greaser and make sure they are absolutely clean. Rubbing alcohol works too. But really get em scrubbed and rinsed. Then I applied 2 light coats of black, followed by one heavy coat allowing for at least 10 mins or so inbetween (it tells you time intervals on the spray can). After that, I applied some clear coat wheel paint to seal the deal. Always always be patient when doing this and make sure you always allow adequate drying time or you could possibly chip them. I would allow them to dry at least overnight before handling them. This is a ***** of a job to do if its cold out because the wheels take longer to dry. I'd recommend waiting till spring if possible. If not, no biggie. If you have any more questions just post em. Thanks

Kyle
