New taillights

Well finaly got me some clear taillights for my X

wondering what you guys thought about replacing the stock blubs with amber, white and red LED's so I'll still have the "stock" colors.

your gonna get nailed by the cops, but good idea... i bet at night you wont get nailed, they cant see clear at night......... but other than that, sweet, and post pictures with the colored bulbs....

you mean amber, red adn white, respectively in the order they are on the tails.

not sure if they make a white led but yeah that would look nice

also a cheaper way to go is put a light high temp silver coat of paint on orange bulbs then you don't get the orange reflection in the lense

wow. thats looks pretty darn good I wasnt too convinced on the clears, as when I put them on my truck they didnt look good for some reason, but yours look fantastic

Clears on a white truck looks nice and clean. Looks great!

Where did you get the clears from? I want to get a set and pull them apart and paint the centers red and leave the rest clear.

No need to pull them apart. Use Testors Candy Apple Red Translucent paint, spray it right on the outside of the lense. I've had mine like this for 6 months- no fading, chipping, etc at all. Looks completely stock. Unless you know something about Explorers, you wouldn't notice. The clears aren't being manufactured anymore, I got mine off a member of the site- that's probably your best bet, or eBay.
