Welcom

Brandon11,

I'd like to add my welcome. You can find somebody that has done almost any mod you can imagine here on the site.

Let us know what part of the country and what type of 4 wheeling you'd like to do, and what kind of terrrain and trails are in your area. If you don't know, more than likely there'll be somebody nearby you here on the site too! You might post in general or modified explorations.... A bit more appropriate than tires and wheels...... no harm done, you just might get better responses to your modification questions.

Since you're in "Tires and Wheels", just to stay on topic: if you want to do a simple mod that will do some good from several standpoints right away, consider 31" all terrain or mud terrain tires. Many of us here are partial to BFG's , AT or MT. '91 and '92 Explorers seem to accomodate these tires with no other modifications required. If you decide on a lift later, you can still run the 31" tires for a while, they'll be a significant improvement over the stock size tires which are really only about 28" inch stance. Shocks are another good mod, but if you think you'll be doing any kind of a lift in the near future, then you will likely have to buy shocks again when you lift it ,to get more travel length. In that case, new shocks might not be the way to go right now.

Anyhow: WELCOME ABOARD!
