New to everything

Hey everyone,

I have been looking over all of the Stickys as well as other posts, and my head is spinning.

I just purchased a 2001 Mountaineer and the stock system had been removed. There is no stereo in the vehicle as of now. There are 3 plugs inside of the hole where the stereo should be, as well as what I assume to be an antenna cable.

I want a smooth sounding system without all of the installation fees.

I would like the deck, and subs. I am assuming this means I need an amp. If there is anyone here that would like to help me out with some details, links, and/or photos, I would greatly appreciate it.

The 3 plugs are for the factory radio.

You can either go to a scrap yard and put in the factory radio or buy a new radio and harness.
If you want subs, you have to run them off an external amp.
