Hello!

Just picked up a 2015 XLT well equiped.

Never owned any explorers and have no idea what to expect. Any particular issues I should be aware of or watch for?

Any must have mods?

Educate me! Or link me where I should educate myself, please and thank you!

Welcome to the Forum.
As shuckert1 mentioned, get familiar with using the "Search" feature. It will bring up many useful threads. There isn't much that hasn't already been talked about.
Water leaks, exhaust smell, vibration in the "Discussion" sub forum. You can also search for items in the "Modified" sub forum on HID or LED lights, tunes, CAI, etc.
You can also scroll through the threads to see what's there. If this is your first 5th generation Explorer, reading the Manual will answer many questions as well. There is a lot to digest.
Good luck.

Peter

I wouldn't worry about issues, they are few and far between but may not seem like it due to the number of these vehicles made, except maybe check the spare tire area for water.
I would look thru the dealers catalogue for accessories and also some aftermarket add-ons, depending what you use the vehicle for
