fantastic site..happy holidays to all..
i own a 2000 ford explorer 5.0 awd. i recently noticed a coolant leak on the drivers side when it was steaming off the exhaust. upon further inspection i can see coolant dripping off of the rear of the valve cover near the fire wall. any help in the right direction would be appreciated.

thanks

There are a couple small coolant lines running from the crossover tube ( heater hose tube) on the passenger side of lower plennum- to the underside of the upper plennum, which does hang over the driver valve cover.

These could be leaking-

Also, the lower intake manifold gasket could be leaking. You could get a "dye kit" and track it down.

thanks for the info. i was thinking something along those lines just wanted a second opinion before i start the job. thanks again.
it doesn't seem too complicated to remove but any tips on the upper intake would help
