I have a 2003 Sport V6. It will just shut off while driving a long distance ex. 30-40 miles. I can wait a few minutes and it will crank back up. Then, it will only go about 5-6 miles. The radio and air cond will still work. It's just the motor cutting off. I have replaced the fuel pump & filter. That did not fix it so we replaced a computer relay, and it cutt off again after going about 40 miles. Help!

what are the conditions when it cuts off? is somebody in the passenger seat kicking the fuel cutoff? is it shuddering?

Welcome to this forum! It might be the fuel pump relay.

This question would probably go under the Stock 1995-2001 Explorers part...
I can't help you with any specifics but could the cutting off after 40 miles or so indicate there is an issue with overheating somewhere?
