Hey all...firstly, what a great forum. I have been lurking and found such great information. My son is off to college in the Fall and we bought a 2003 Eddie B 4x4 yesterday in SoCal for $5.5k. It has 150k mileage, but I am not overly fearful as we got it from the original owner and he has been really on top of maintenance from day 1, and all regularly recommended service has been done. He drove 100 miles roundtrip a day which were freeway.
I had a pre-purchase inspection done at the Ford dealer and they only found the need to replace the upper/lower ball joints...tie rod, alignment. However they noticed a slight whine in the rear differential. Should I be overly concerned about this? What is the fix??
We are already planning a few mods. Firstly painting the beige trim black...perhaps a slight spacer lift, and...???
