HI, just got this from my brother, he was the 2nd owner, now im the 3rd.
It is a 4.0 XLT 4x4 with 124000 mil.
So Saturday i went down to his place about 4 hours south of me to pick it up and Sunday morning went out to warm it up and it no start, called AAA for a jump and still no start, tow truck guy says it looks like a starter also, so off to walmart for the battery, it was a bad battery so got the new one and thought since a auto parts store was close i should get a starter just in case. put battery in and still no start, so in 12* and wind and not alot of tools a 1/2 hour job took 2.
I already new it had broken lift glass hinges and a bad blend door actuator so i ordered them from amazon both dorman parts, tried to install the hinges and both were already striped out and after removing and installing the blend door motor it also does not work, so i ordered new hinges from the local ford ($153 vs $50 for the dorman but they worked) and another motor from amazon.
So today its all fixed. So far i like the truck, i had a 1993 GMC Jimmy years ago and this one is much bigger and nicer, funny they are the same color.
