2012 Explorer Limited
Just got this one, first for me, a 2012 Limited 300a. Low miles at 34k. Really good shape. Really digging this Exp, it's my first Ford since 1976 when I got a 1962 solid body Ford Pickup, from my Dad.

Added a new battery a month ago, all went well. But just today I had to disconnect the battery cables for an electrical adjustment. Re-connect and no Power Accessory. ???

What happened? It's a new battery. Did a check and it's fully charged 100%. Lost the USB/Radio/etc.. and all Access. functions. So I did the Neg. cable removal and tried again in 5 mins. Nope, still no Accessories. Argh!!

This time I removed both Pos and Neg cables and came back after an hour. It's back. Must have reset something somewhere, who knows. Won't do that again. Anyways, best car/suv I have every owned, serious features, comfort and fun to drive. Peace.

Congratulations on the 'new' Explorer. Did you buy those wheels for it or did they come with the vehicle?

Thanks Peter. New wheels (Strada Sega) and tires (Proxes STIII). They came with the stock wheels and Hankooks. Probably paint those stock wheels black and ditch the Hankooks.

Good looking wheels

Yes, love the wheels. I very rarely like aftermarket wheels but those definitely fit and look sharp. Borla exhaust?

PS - if it is AWD, I'd get that PTU fluid changed now due to the low miles (shouldn't be burnt/sludged up yet).

Thanks.

It came missing a muffler, so I found a guy selling the cat back dual from a Sport for 50 bucks. Snagged that, but had a hard time finding the dual down pipes. So I just changed over to the Sport mufflers. Little cutting and welding, good as it gets. Wanted the true dual exhaust, but what would I gain?

Yep, PTU oil change is on the list, along with oil, filters and plugs. I hope it has a drain plug, cross fingers.
