the 3rd and 4th gen explorer are very similar, if it fits on the 4th gen, it will fit on your 3rd gen.

1st and 2nd gen wheels will fit too, except that their offset is a little different.

1st and 2nd gen wheels on a 3rd or 4th gen will stick out just a little.. about 1" I think.

3rd and 4th gen wheels on a 1st or 2nd gen will tuck in about 1"

You could always go with the classic Cobra's .

Haha, nah I do like bigger rims on the newer models. Look up Ghoster, he had sick rims on his truck, same model as yours.

I like the cobra wheels... and considered them too... but found a set of polished limited wheels off an 05 with new Daytons on craigslist for $400 + my old rims (which were the base trip option wheels)

Here are my Adrenalin wheels, I have an 03 Mounty, and these came off of an 09 Sport Trac. 4th Gen wheels will fit on 3rd Gens. I love these wheels! tehse

my dad bought a 08 explorer limited and he has the same rims as that mountaineer but it has the ford center cap they are 20" with pirelli tires

I have a set of black cobra wheels for sale on the forum...just upgraded to the new 20" oem explorer wheels...what kind of tire you guys got on thatt??
