whats up guys my cousin and I are about to lift our 94 explorer sport with 6 inch super lift. We're going to run some 33s. Just wondering what gearing you guys run front and rear, it is 5speed.
She's not going to be daily drivin but going to use it to drive to the trails since we don't have a trailer yet so we don't want to get to crazy.
I read somewhere we can use stock f350 gears. Is this true? And is it something anyone would recommend. ?

4.56 front and rear is what you probably want.

4.88 is good for hardcore trail use (and in case you ever go bigger to 35's), but you will be fine with the 4.56's on the street and trail, especially with the 5 speed and slightly lighter weight of the Sport compared to a 4 door.

You can use gears from the 8.8 rear axle of an F-150 (or a Ranger), but 4.56 gears would need to be aftermarket, the lowest stock gears were usually 4.10.

It'd be tough to find matching 4.10 gears for the Dana 35 TTB off another vehicle unless it was modified, usually the stock 4.10 gears were in the 8.8 rear axle on a 2WD, and 4WD models either got 3.27 or 3.73.

You can sometimes find used 4.56/4.88 gears for sale from those who are parting out their rigs to upgrade, but usually the biggest expense with new gears is the labor of paying for them to be installed and adjusted.

sweet thanks guys for the help this will def get us started on the right track
