Hey all, my name is Rich. I just recently picked up a 2002 mercury mountaineer with the 4.6 awd set up. It has 129,000 miles on it. So far I have changed the spark plugs, two coils, air filter, fuel filter, t-case fluid, trans fluid, both front and rear diffs, fixed the infamous broken ground wire in the driver door. Rotated and balanced the 18" inch aftermarket wheels and tires. It also has a flowmaster exhaust with a 3 inch tip that exits right in front of the driver side rear tire. It has a intake leak thats putting oil into two of my spark plug holes and bogs/skips on acceleration around 35-45 mph which Is hurting my performance I have a rear pinon seal leak that needs to be addressed along with im sure I need a new solenoid pack. Either way glad I found this forum here's a pic of the new ride.
