All,
I am Jacky. I took a 99 Explorer XLT that i was driving for a while and gutted the wiring, engine and transmission for my 68 Bronco. The Explorer was in bad shape on the outside and the interior was even worse. I joined the group to find out more about this great engine and transmission combo and to also find a wiring harness diagram that a laymen can read as i am using the Explorer wire harness in my Bronco. I cant seem to find the right colors for ignition, lights, gauges etc. The conversion provided close to an 80 Horsepower upgrade from my old 302 and definitely an upgrade to my old C-4 as well but in the future I would be interested in getting more out of them as well.

Welcome to the group.
I'm no expert on swaps, but you may have problems with the PATS security on 99 engine.
There will be others on here that have more info, but from what I've read, having components and computer match up is a must.

CJ, I was working with the Explorer Key inserted into the reader just to be able to crank it, hot wire to starter but the EFI Guy now has my computer and is removing PATS, ABS, Airbags and other un-necessary items. Apparently he has to leave EGR and other smog components now but i kept that stuff anyway.

Welcome.
