93 XLT
Hey Guys,

I'm new to this forum. I joined b/c I have a 93 Ford Explorer XLT that will serve as my full time winter vehicle.

I was browsing around for appearence parts and accecories for this suv, and I really havent been able to find many sites that have stuff for a 93. Does anyone know of any?

Also, I went on tirerack to see what wheels are available for the explorer, but It didnt have explorer or mountaineer as an option, what gives? Anyone know of a site that shows wheels/prices that will fit an explorer. Or even possibly another vehicle with the same wheel sizes as an explorer. Thanks, all will be helpful.

www.explorerexpress.com has some good stuff, but kinda high prices for wheels anything 15x8 with 5x4.5 bolt pattern with 3.75" backspacing will work good for you, but you have to make sure the center willbe large enough for your hub to go through.

Welcome :D

summitracing.com carries a bunch of parts for Explorers. Also, if you are looking for appearance parts, procarparts.com is a good place. This is where most people buy clear corners, diamond corners, etc.

Welcome to the site. :)

Thanks guys, I'll be taking pics of my beast as soon as I get a chance to clean her up a bit. ;)

Some Jeeps (don't think it's all) have the same bolt pattern as X's. 5x4.5 is what you want. Tire Rack doesn't list X's or Navajos or Mountaineers because anything non-stock is "dangerous."

What do you mean "anything not stock is dangerous"??

That's what Tire Rack says. I don't know what they mean and neither do they.

What do you guys think: I have a maroon/red 93 Explorer, should I put black headlight covers on or get clear corners?

-Matt

I'm not much of a fan of the headlight covers, I'd get clear corners.

Do what you won't get pulled over for, get clear corners.

Yup I third the clear corners

Welcome to the site......

Clear corners aren't bad......

Covers are Horrible! :thumbdwn:
