Welcome Chris!

For some reason I've found that the CO Contingent area isn't that active, but I do know that there are a fair number of us wandering around CO. I personally don't know much about the '99's, as mine is a bit older, but my first question whenever anyone wants build advice is 'what are you looking to do with it?'

Howdy Chris,

Welcome to the website, I'm sure you'll find it quite nice in this community!

And yes, the golden question:
'what are you looking to do with it?'

Let's see some pictures, and hear some thoughts, plans, aspirations, and inspirations!

Like Naasau said, it isn't TOO active in this forum, but that doesn't mean that you can't be! If you post, it will get read (and in most cases, responded to), I can assure you that.

Maybe we can plan a group trail trip sometime in the early summer (provided you're not going for the street look :) )

Thnaks for the comments! I am not looking to do a street look, i'm looking more to just do a simple lift and new rims and tires nothing to spectacular maybe a rack with a light bar
I found this on google and i wanna do something like this

maybe a little more horse power some performance things

Welcome!

Unfortunately, there's really not many places you can go to "pick up" parts for upgrades. I believe the whole Firestone Fiasco killed the aftermarket support of not only 2nd gen Explorers, but all Explorers. Basically you have to get a lot of things custom made.

Luke just had some work done at a place called SCC Customs. He's a member on here but not very active. He has a SAS'd Mountaineer that's pretty wild. I may be giving him some business soon for a regear and maybe a custom front bumper and maybe sliders.

For as many trail opportunities as we have, you'd think the CO section would be more active.

I think that we're active on the trails, we all just happen to be a bunch of loners.

Also, if you haven't found it already, the Rocky Mountain Ford Truck Club runs a site... (rmftc.com) that I've found is more active in terms of group runs, trail maintenence, and all that stuffs. For serious help on my X I will always call EF home, but for group outings, I've found these other guys are really friendly as well!

The more resources, the better, right?
