HI there. I stumbled upon this forum when i started thinking about buying an Explorer. Well, one kinda fell into my lap... $2000 for a 1994 XLT with 110k miles, leather, power everything, etc. How could i say no?
So the general questions would be "what should be done first?" I'm guessing fluids, plugs, wires, possibly new battery. (i never trust used batteries) But beyond that? I think it's on the original belt as well (which i will probably change in the first weekend of ownership)
It's going to be an everyday driver, so no lifts, engine swaps, etc. I'm a radio engineer, so i haul quite a bit of tools and equipment. (had almost 500 pounds in the back of a saturn for almost a year, no wonder it died) But i will need to make sure it's going to be able to handle going out in freshly plowed corn fields to get to radio towers. (amazingly the saturn survived this)
Not to beat a dead horse, but any help is appreciated.
