New transfer case

Would you believe the Thursday night before my Saturday a.m. departure for the Outer Banks of NC my transfer case took a dump. Talk about a hectic Friday. No Xploder on the dunes this year. $1600 later and we're back on track. Also, man are the some big tired trucks roaming 158 & 14 between NC and VA Beach.

1600 bucks! Yikes!

For 600 you could have done the manual transfer case conversion to the 1354 or you could have gone even cheaper with a a Dana 20.

You're right about that one Tekeman. Seems everybody and their mother (yes, mothers) has a lifted truck with huge tires in Southeast VA/Northeast NC. They all come to places like HiDust, Production Off-Road, Pungo Off-Road, Eastern Off-Road, and Pro Trucks to spend thousands of dollars for "the look" Thing is, they never take their trucks off-road. What a shame. But they sure are nice to look at. And watch out, they won't hesitate to run you off the road!
