Hey all,

I've been having issues with 3 of my tires leaking air since they were installed last may, which is about 10k miles ago. I took my explorer into Les Schwab today when I was taking my step mom to get her Flex back from getting new tires. the techs who looked at my wheels found massive amounts of corrosion that Pep Boys missed when they installed the tires. I was told it was likely that I would need to purchase new rims in the near future, especially if this happens again. Does anyone have a recommendation of what would be a nice looking set of rims for it? I want to keep the OE size, because my tires have 10k miles on them, with a 60k mile rating. I'll upload a few pictures of it tomorrow when its light outside to help match with the car.

Thanks in advance!
Steven

Did the technician mean a corrosion build up in the bead area where the rubber touches the metal? If so, a few minutes with a wire wheel in a drill will clean that up nice. I do it every time I mount new tires, appropriately 5 years
