Hey Guys and Gals,

I just wanted to drop by and say hello. I just bought a 97 Explorer. It's a tan goldish color. The inside is tan with leather, all power, sun roof, auto, and has 128k miles. The previous owners took very good care of this Explorer, we've known them for a while!! Ok, my last car was a 1999 Pontiac Trans-Am...so this is a whole new scene for me, but i'm not shy to mod things!!! What should i do first?! She is in great running condition. Thanks!!!

Brad

Welcome! Class act!

Welcome to this forum! I had an 85 Trans Am many years ago.

Did you have a mullet too? Please post in the mullet thread, BB... :D

Anywho, welcome Brad! I'd suggest making sure all of your preventative maintenance is up to date, to keep a seemigly well maintained Ex on the road (or off it, as it may be) for a long time to come.

Lastly, simple rule here- without pics, nobody believes that you even OWN an Ex. :p:

What's a mullet?

Denial is the first step, no? :)

Come on- business up front, party out back? Here's the first pic that came up on google:

Honest to God- look at the CAR!!! I'm not making this stuff up!!! :D

i will get some pics up!!! lol...hey don't hate on the t/a, only reason i sold it to get the explorer is because its kind of hard to be a cop with a non street legal car!!! however that X is nice...i will post pics of the X tomorrow as well as my bird :(

:D Sorry- this is how we are. Totally hijack your thread.

I would have thought the easiest way to own a non-street legal car is to be the one who determines if it is street legal or not! :)

Look forward to some pics!

joe...it's all in who you know!!!! and the hijack is cool...just dont use my thread as a bomb...please...anyways, looking forward to talking with you all

Welcome to Explorer Forum!

Note the 6.6 on the shaker. That guy has earned the mullet.

quick question. im going to do an oil change, whats the best for a 4.0 litre with 128k on it. i know the manual has what to use...but thats for a brand new vehicle and experience is key here. thank you!
