Hey guys and girls! My name is Terry, I am from Boiling Springs SC.

I have a 2003 Ford Ranger. It is a project truck of sorts. With 20K miles on the ticker, I rolled it 2 times into a field. Rebuilt it back to pristine condition. Then I hit a deer with it and that is when I got crazy with it.

It has a 2001 Mercury Mountaineer front end conversion on it. Had to cut the front of the fenders off and mold them into the Ranger fenders. The doorhandles are shaved on both sides now. It has lambo doors as well. I also have a sportside bed on it that is fully shaved with caddy tails in it.

It started out with a 4.0 SOHC in it that I built up using Super Six Motorsports components. I quickly found out that while it is awesome for a 6 banger, I just ran out of potential for power. So in went the 5.0.

It is currently apart getting ready for a show next weekend and the weekend after that but it will be back custom painted soon!

The pics are a little old. I haven't taken any newer pics of it. It has the front bumper off of the mountaineer now and only one pic shows the sportside bed.

Yes, the hood fits better now. It was just sitting on it in that pic.

Yeah, I know the lambo door thing is played out. But, how many 4x4 rangers do you see running around with them. Plus the kit worked out good enough that I don't even have to open the door "up" to get in.

Funny thing is that the kit that is on the truck is actually originally for a Civic lol Just did a full weld on kit for strength and also allowed myself some more room to modify the hinges to make the doors go up past vertical.

Thanks!

great work that looks pretty damn neat.

Welcome to the site, and hopefully you can find lots of good info here (even though it looks like you won't be needing that much help :D)

Wow! I dig that front end on the Ranger! Awesome work... More!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

wow nice ranger i think your due for some more picture btw what happen to the super six motor? ;)

I am sure that I will be asking questions. No one person knows everything.

The Super 6 engine is going into a 96 Ranger. I am helping build that one right beside my truck.

There are gull wing kits out there. But I have plans for the roof of the truck so I can't cut out most of it.

Yeah, if you are set on staying with the SOHC, Super Six is awesome! I had their heads, rods, pistons, cams, valvetrain and I also ported the intake manifold and the manifolds. I even had a NX nitrous kit on it for a while and then went with a Zex kit and have now gone V8.

I will post some more pics shortly. Just need to get them all rounded up.

so are you eventually gonna bag this thing, or keep it tall?

Here are some more pics for everyone!

I will have to see if I can find some more. This weekend has A SERIOUSLY large amount of work planned for it. Main task is going to be painting the frame and rebuilding the rear axle and adding a few extra clutches in the limited slip.

As for right now, the truck is going to get the keys flipped and leaving it spring under in the rear. I have the word out for a Dana 44 High pinion for a sas project. I can only ride low for so long lol

But who knows, if the STS turbo impresses me I may be tempted to leave it lower and do a pre-runner setup :)

Prerunners are not LOWER!!! they are tuned softer. and have more travel. sorry, but i'm from california, and it's a touchy subject with me.....

Oh and as I mentioned, this truck has been on its lid once!

It was an awesome ride but an expensive one!

I didn't say they were lower. They are just "lower" than the height I was planning for the SAS.

I will actually be in Vegas for Sema and then coming back to SC and flying back out again for some time in Ontario California.
