Hey guys,
I'm new to the Explorer side, but not new to cars. I'm 24, graduating from Univ. of KY this May and had the worst of luck my last semester... my engine blew on my 98 Crown Vic Police Interceptor. So I was lucky enough to have some money left over from my student loan and grant, along with my taxes to find a new ride.
I currently have a 1980 Malibu and a Kawasaki Vulcan. I recently sold my 98 Firebird to buy the Crown Vic (wanted a larger vehicle) and now I want something larger. I enjoyed the Crown Vic so much that I've decided I'd like to stick with a Ford and find a nice 2nd gen explorer.
I post on a few different car forum and hope that when I find a ride, I'll be able to stay involved on this site. Anyways, sorry to go on and on... but I'm going to look at a 98 model this week. So far I know it is AWD, 4.0 SOHC, and has 108k miles. Anything I should pay attention to? Any hints as to what I should watch out for?
